When light is absorbed by an object,
the thing converts the short-wavelength light into long-wavelength heat. This
causes the object to get warmer. But this is only portion of the story as to

The purpose of my experiment was to find out which colors of light work best to form sun print images. My hypothesis was that, if red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple are being compared to find out which will make the best sun print image, then red will be the best color to use for a sun print. I predicted this because red is the boldest color and I thought bolder colors would make a better sun print than lighter colors. I observed that red made the best sun print. Surprisingly, yellow was right behind red in making the boldest sun print. I thought yellow would have made the worst sun print because it is such a light color. However, it was the color blue that made the worse sun print image. I think this is because the sun print paper is blue which makes the color blue seem lighter than all the other colors.
